Thanks to a grant from the St Pete Arts Alliance and the St Petersburg Office of Cultural Affairs, new Spanish versions of 5 multi-arts stories for kids, performed by the terrific cast of Lillian Almodovar, Dora Arreola Fernando Chonqui and J.L. Rey.

Creative stories that welcome Spanish-speaking kids and families, bilingual folk and people learning Spanish.

A brilliant performance in Spanish by Fernando Chonqui of this fun short work illustrated by Creative Clay celebrating resilience and not giving up. Fernando spectacularly rolled down what’s maybe the only hill in St Pete and landed at the feet of then-Mayor Rick Kriseman as a dancer in the original performance, commissioned by the Roser Park Neighborhood Association to celebrate Jeff Whipple’s new public art installation.

An illustrated audiobook celebrating science and discovery – inspired by the crucial work of Dr. Mya Breitbart at the USFSP College of Marine Science on researching the cause and cure of an epidemic killing long-spined sea urchins – and her verve for science and problem-solving. A beautiful theatre-and-science collaboration performed by Mimi Rice, directed by James Rayfield and illustrated by Mya Breitbart and her research team.

A live radio theatre-style performance of Isaac’s Firetruck where our wonderful audience joined in on the vocal sound effects – and created the visuals for a new free illustrated audiobook!

It’s a fun story about how a Firetruck who gets in trouble for putting out barbecues and birthday cakes, and Eloise who’s trying to save their neighborhood from interstellar danger, team up to put out an actual fire – and all ends happily.  Performed by the amazing actors David Warner, Mary Rachel Quinn, Robin O’Dell and Bridget Bean, directed by Jim Rayfield.

A beautiful theatre-science collaboration inspired by the crucial work of Dr. Mya Breitbart at the USFSP College of Marine Science on researching the cause and cure of an epidemic killing long-spined sea urchins – and her verve for science and problem-solving.

When you can’t sleep, call the Bedtime Bears! Featuring a wonderful performance by the amazing voice actor and guitarist Dave Waterman, with lovely illustrations from his ongoing photography series focused in his beautiful backyard and on the grounds of USF’s Contemporary Art Museum.

Performed by Eugenie Bondurant, John Huls, Fernando Chonqui, David Warner and Jay Hoff, with origami by Jennifer Ring, directed by Jim Rayfield. Recorded live at St Pete Pride and the LGBTQ Resource Center at the Gulfport Library, with many thanks to Creative Clay.

A free illustrated audiobook for kids – about a small dog who barks at buses, until he gets to ride one. Performed by David Warner and Kate Young, illustrated by Catherine Woods and directed by Jim Rayfield.

A spectacular dance-theatre-music performance developed with the Member Artists and Transition Students of Creative Clay, choreographer Paula Kramer, dancer Helen Hansen French, actor Stephanie Roberts and Tuba player Kendrick Wilson. 

Loopy Captain Zumba and Bing set sail for the Captain’s favorite island. Bing is sure that Zumba dreamed this crazy island up. But now it’s on a map – a map that looks suspiciously like something Captain Zumba drew with crayons.

Illustrated by Creative Clay and performed by Jan Neuberger and David Warner.
